ArmInfo.The political forces participating in elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan use various creative methods of launching the election campaign.
In particular, the party leader Yerkir Tsirani and candidate for mayor Zaruhi Postanjyan resorted to a bicycle marathon, whose participants called for voting precisely for this political force. After that, she presented the election program of the party promising to solve the issues of garbage disposal, its processing, improvement and gardening of the city, as well as the problem of homeless pets. "Our program has provisions on culture, health and education, as well as the formation of the city budget," Postanjyan said.
Earlier, she held a press conference in a symbolic place for the Armenian capital - the historical and archeological museum-reserve Erebuni, in whose territory the cuneiform of King Argishti was found about the foundation of the city of Erebuni, now Yerevan, where she stated that the target of "Yerkir Tsirani will become the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
Another candidate for mayor from the "Elk" bloc and fan of Facebook live broadcasts Nikol Pashinyan started the election campaign in the Yerevan metro, the construction of which he promises to continue. He broadcast live propaganda leaflets to citizens in the subway, and afterwards with his supporters and candidates for the Council of Elders conducted a march through the streets of Yerevan and completed it on the Northern Avenue where a rock concert was organized. Before that, the premiere of the video for the song "Erebuni-Yerevan", which did candidates to the Council of Elders and Pashinyan himself perform. In addition, he expressed confidence that his team will manage to win the elections on May 14. Meanwhile, the current mayor and RPA member Taron Margaryan did not resort to innovations and made calls to the townspeople, in which he called for being patient and promised to implement reforms in the transport sector. Unlike his opponents, Margaryan behaves very modestly, however, in some parts of the city, even before the campaign began, his campaign posters appeared, which provoked resentment of competitors.
To remind, the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan will be held on May 14. Three political forces - the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, the "Elk" bloc and the "Yerkir Cirani" party (Apricot Country) will take part in the elections.
