ArmInfo.Peace negotiations are very important for Nagorno- Karabakh conflict settlement, Robert Sekuta, the Ambassador of USA to Azerbaijan shared his opinion with Trend.
"This conflict has no military solution. It is necessary to have both sides of the conflict at the negotiations table and to work on the peaceful solution of the conflict, because it lasts too long," the Ambassador said. He mentioned also that United states do actively work on the problem within the OSCE Minsk Group, to help parties to find the peaceful solution of the conflict mentioned. "We have to help both sides to move forward," he said.
Talking about Richard Hoagland, the new US co-chair of Minsk Group , he mentioned that Hoagland has a strong experience in US Department of State, knows this part of the world well and have worked there. The Ambassador reminded that Hoagland started to work with his colleagues from France and Russia to learn about the situation in Nagorno Karabakh, to communicate with people and to help them to find a way to reach the peaceful settlement.
"Hoagland is very strong and very energetic player, and I think he really could move the process," the Ambassador mentioned.
Referring to permanent provocations at the contact line in Karabakh and at Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the Ambassador stated once again that there is no military solution of the conflict. "The violence helps nobody. It is really important to find a way to move forward. "It is necessary for all the people in the region," the Ambassador stated.
