ArmInfo. The incident at the campaign headquarters of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) in Masis is being investigated, the press office of the Armenian Police has told ArmInfo's correspondent.
Earlier the media reported that lawmaker Araik Grigoryan, who is on the RPA rating-based list in Ararat province, has opened campaign headquarters in the town of Masis, near the campaign headquarters of another RPA candidate Murad Muradyan, thereby breaking the arrangement that he will conduct no electoral campaign in that town.
Muradyan decided to punish Grigoryan and sent his supporters to the latter's campaign headquarters. Muradyan's supporters brutally beat the responsible person for Grigoryan's headquarters, Samvel by name, who received numerous head injuries. The police arrived at the scene, but were unable to cool the opponents' hot heads, because Grigoryan came to the campaign headquarters and promised to cook his opponent's goose.
