ArmInfo. The OSCE is exerting efforts towards settlement of conflicts in the region, particularly, the Transnistrian conflict, as well as the conflicts in Georgia and Nagorno-Karabakh, Austrian Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Sebastian Kurz said at the meeting of the UN Security Council.
Minister Kurz added that the OSCE is also taking measures against radicalism and terrorism, which seriously threaten the peace and security in Europe. He noted that over 10,000 people from the OSCE countries joined the ISIS to kill people in Syria, Iraq and Libya and they also seriously threaten the security in the OSCE countries themselves when they return from the conflict zones.
The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office also spoke about the projects to combat youth radicalism in the region, calling for strengthening international cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
