ArmInfo.Vigen Sargsyan, the Armenian Minister of Defense, thinks that the training and preparation of Armenian  Military Forces is implemented at a very  high level.  As Armenian Defense Minister stated in his interview to  RIA Novosti the management quality in Armenia is very high, the  officer staff and all those people who are involved  in the Military  Forces management system, have passed a very serious combat path, and  do have academic military education.

 

" I am sure that the experts who are familiar with this region, know well that the level of Armenian Army preparation essentially exceeds the  "combat readiness" ordinary  term. 

According to him, in the defense organization it is very important to  pay a preference not to the quantity, but to the quality. "That  particularly refers to the armaments procurement, partner searching   efficiency and installation of armaments with an ability to give an  adequate response to  the risks and challenges existing," Sargsyan  said. According to him, Armenia will  continue the conversation with   Russia in respect to the purchase of armaments. "We will continue the  dialog with Russia regarding the options to purchase armaments at  Russian market. Within the consideration of CSTO membership, targeted  loans and bonuses we have, we are very interested to improve that  cooperation," the Minister stated.  

According to Sargsyan, more that 200 military officers are studying  in Russia nowadays. The levels are very different - from General  Staff Academy to profiled entities throughout  the territory of  Russia. We are very grateful for this opportunity. It is a very  important form of interaction.
