ArmInfo. This is a crucial day for Nagorno-Karabakh - one of the stages of Karabakh`s development, Transnistrian lawmaker Grigory Dyachenko said at a press conference in Stepanakert on Feb 20.
"I can state that we visited the polling stations from early morning. Two of the stations were opened in our presence. The voting started at 8 am, no violations were fixed. We also visited 10 other polling stations. Everything proceeded in a positive course. At one of the polling stations the turnout was 100%. The matter concerns the prison in Shushi - all the 16 prisoners took part in the voting. He added that people went to the polls in high spirits," Dyachenko said.
To note, the constitutional referendum in Karabakh is over, with the turnout being 79,380 people (75.91%) out of 102,757 citizens having the right to vote. No complaints were registered in the course of the referendum. The preliminary results will be publicized on Feb 21, at 12:00 local time. The voting at 280 polling stations and 11 constituencies ended at 8 pm, Feb 20. As many as 104 foreign observers from 30 countries, as well as 103 local observers monitored the referendum. Over 80 journalists covered the referendum.
