ArmInfo.ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" will participate in Parliamentary elections with "New beginning-fair Armenia" slogan, said during a press-conference in Yerevan the ARF election headquarters head Aghvan Vardanyan on February 15.
According to him, the basis for all processes across the state must be justice as only in case of its existence the economic and cultural development and law supremacy is possible. At the same time he noted that ARFD hopes for strong presence in 6th convocation parliament. "We included into the list 45 non-party figures, who are our like-minded. Moreover, among our candidates there are no odious figures and those who are guided solely by personal interests. We have a knit team which will strive to gain a majority and not to compete with each other and stealing each other's votes", noted Vardanyan.
Speaking about post-election coalition formation, Vardanyan also noted that Dashnaktsutyun is not seek for enemies within the state and holds good relations with all political forces. "We cooperate with Republic Party now, however, it is not a real coalition as nothing depends on our votes there, therefore, in the new parliament there should be real coalitions", noted the politician. Meanwhile he noted that the further cooperation issue with RPA depends on April elections results. "Our purpose is to form a qualitatively new government and erase negative happenings across the state", Dashnaktsutyun noted.
To note, at the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia, Armen Rustamyan, Head of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Faction, will top the ARFD proportional list, said Aghvan Vardanyan, Head of the ARFD campaign headquarters. The top ten on the list also includes Aghvan Vardanyan, Minister of Territorial Administration David Lokyan, Armenuhi Kurginyan, Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan, Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan, Armen Babayan, Ruzanna Arakelyan, Spartak Seyranyan and Mikayel Manukyan. The parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for April 2, 2017. According to the decision of the Armenian Central Electoral Commission, the official election campaign starts on March 5 and ends on March 31. The voting will be held on April 2, from 8 am till 8 pm.
