ArmInfo. Freeing from professional optimism attacks, OSCE Mink Group need to concentrate on more realistic incident investigation mechanisms and the OSCE acting chairman's representative's team enlargement, said Russian Analyst Sergey Markedonov while seaking during the "The Stepanakert blockade breakthrough. 25 years later" expert meeting.
"On 193km long contact line Anjey Kaspshik's mission counts 5 men. That is why it is necessary to minimize the violence and only then proceed to political questions. It is necessary to stop to put the carthorse popered. And the main task of practical diplomacy is to minimize military test element", noted the Analyst.
Noting the absence of peacekeepers in Karabakh conflict zone, Markedonov stressed the necessity of working through the issue of the composition of forces, which according to the principles of Madrid shall be established to carry out such a mission. Considering the rather complicated relations of Russia and West, the issue of the composition of peacekeepers becomes more difficult.
"Of course, on one hand peacekeepers are a kind of buffer. On other hand, peacekeepers is not an abstraction, there are states behind them, which sent them there. And even if we imagine that there are states behind them, the OSCE MG is another puzzle, having other interests", noted the Russian Analyst.
At the same time, he noted that compared with other post-Soviet conflicts, the outer forces did not manage to make the Karabakh problem a proxy conflict in the context confrontation of Superpowers' interests. According to him, the fact that Karabakh conflict remained a regional one is extremely important in the peace prospects discussion context.
