ArmInfo. The Austrian Liberal Party (Freiheitliche Partei Osterreichs - FPO), represented in the Parliament of the country, came out with a statement, calling Sebastian Kurz, the Austrian Foreign Minister, to pass a new pulse to Karabakh settlement due to his chairmanship in OSCE, Austria Presse Agentur informs.
"Only last year in the results of military actions of Azerbaijan dozens of people were killed in the karabakh conflict zone. To prevent such actions in the future, the OSCE Minsk Group should possess real authority," the statement reads. According to the authors of the statement, in early 2000 the conflict settlement was very close, but now the process is collapsed. "OSCE should make both sides to return to Madrid principles based negotiations, otherwise it will be very difficult to avoid another escalation. Nagorno Karabakh develops both in political and industrial aspects, and it needs a long term peace. And the principle of nations self determination should be compulsory applied in respect to Karabakh," the authors of the statement summarize.
