ArmInfo. Tigran Mkrtchyan, the Ambassador of Armenia, held a meeting with Lithuanian Seim Foreign Relations Permanent Commission Head Juozas Bernatonis . According to the information of the Arnenian Foreign Ministry press office, Bernatonisi mentioned that political relations between two countries are at high level. He added at that, that in recent years bilateral economic relations showed an obvious growth.
In his turn, Armenian diplomat stated the necessity of passing a new pulse to the economic relations and creation of preconditions for cooperation improvement. In this respect Bernatonis mentioned, that Armenian-Lithuanian friendship parliamentary group is one of the largest in the Seim of the country and this opportunity should be used to improve the interparliamentary cooperation.
Mkrtchyan presented main foreign policy priorities of Armenia and recent processes regading Nagorno Karabakh. Bernatonis ensured, that Lithuania's position in respect to the Karabakh conflict settlement is concordant to EU position. At the same time he expressed a hope that negotiations between Armenia and EU regarding new Framework Agreement will be finished successfullyin the nearest future.
