The Armenian Defense Ministry's delegation headed by Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Yuri Khachaturov has left for Belarus to participate in the active phase of the Enduring Brotherhood-2016 joint exercise with the peacekeeping contingents of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces.
The press office of the Armenian Defense Ministry has told ArmInfo that the event is being held within the framework of the joint operations and training plan-2016 of the CSTO member states' armed forces. The exercise kicked off in Belarus on August 23 and will last through August 27. Nearly 1,500 servicemen and 300 units of aviation, armor vehicles and automotive equipment of the internal troops and police of the CSTO member states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan) are taking part in the exercise.
On August 28-30, upon completion of the exercise, Khachaturov will be conducting his official visit to Belarus.
